Carlos Hernandez enters his tenth season with the Bear Cubs as an assistant coach. He assists with technical and tactical sessions, along with recruiting local talent and managing soccer camps for player development. Additionally, Hernandez is the Head Varsity Soccer Coach for Elsie Allen High School and coaches club soccer at Atletico Santa Rosa. Hernandez holds the USSF National C License. Coach Hernandez's soccer career consists of playing for Sonoma County Sol fourth tier NPSL (2015), NCAA Division II for Academy of Art University (2014), Semi-professionally third tier in Mexico for Cuatitlan Izcalli and Guerreros Acapulco (2008-2010), and for Santa Rosa Junior College (2007) receiving All-American honors and Big 8 Player of the year.
Hernandez graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Communications from Academy of Art University (San Francisco), and a Masters degree in Kinesiology and California teaching credential in physical education from Humboldt State University.
He is a full time employee for Santa Rosa City Schools as an Adapted Physical Education Instructor. Carlos and Yesenia have been together for 19 years and reside in Santa Rosa, CA with their two boys Julian (6) and Jonathan (2).
