On Play4Kay Night at Haehl Pavilion to raise money to help fight cancer, the third place Bear Cubs (19-5, 9-3) hosted the fourth place Wolverines (17-7, 7-5) of Sierra College. The Bear Cubs got off to a 6-0 start on Jordan Washington's drive, Elle Picard's 12-foot pullup, and Kaia Eubanks' 3-footer off of Picard's assist at the 6:39 mark. Nine seconds later Kameryn King drew a shooting foul and made just the first free throw. Twenty-four seconds after that Abby Tacla banked in a 2-footer after cutting to the hoop and catching Eubanks' pass. With 4:28 on the clock Washington banked in a full court layup after pulling down a defensive rebound. Jessie Slade's baseline drive sixteen seconds later accounted for the Wolverines' last points of the quarter. The Bear Cubs finished the period with a 9-0 run on Washington's 15-footer, Shasta Vlasak's 3-pointer, Washington's 1-footer off of Picard's assist, and two free throws by Hailey Webb with less than a second on the clock for a 19-3 lead.

Kaia Eubanks tallied the first point of the second quarter when she made one free throw in the opening minute. With 7:44 on the clock Caitlin Baldwin swished a 3-pointer, and 14 seconds later Brooklynn Nordquist was successful on a drive. The Bear Cubs scored the next four points on Abby Tacla's give-and-go play with Eubanks and Sydney Martin's 20-footer at the 5:47 mark. Neither team had any offensive success until Allie Hayes drained a 3-pointer at the 1:50 mark. In the remaining time, the Bear Cubs added seven more points on Hattie Piper's 3-point play on a drive, Jordan Washington's 1-footer off of Martin's assist, and Washington's two free throws with six seconds left to go into halftime ahead 34-8.

Kameryn King scored the first field goal of the third quarter. The Bear Cubs added four points on Elle Picard's left-handed drive and Jordan Washington's two free throws at the 7:54 mark. During the next five minutes the Wolverines scored eight points on a basket by Izzy Deveraux and a 3-pointer each by Jill Ngo and Lily Carson. Meanwhile the Bear Cubs made five out of six free throws—two each by Madyson Carson and Washington, and one by Shasta Vlasak. In the final 2:25 Washington made two more baskets from close range, while the Wolverines recorded five points on King's 3-point play and Jessie Slade's layup with seven seconds left. The Wolverines outscored the Bear Cubs 15-13 in the quarter but were still behind 23-47.

The Wolverines started the fourth quarter with an 8-0 run before Elle Picard swished a 3-pointer at the 7:01 mark after catching Kaia Eubanks' cross court pass. Jill Ngo responded with her own 3-pointer, making the Wolverines deficit 34-50. Nearly a minute later Jordan Washington banked in a 1-footer off of Eubanks' assist. Allie Hayes drained a 3-pointer with 4:11 on the clock. Washington sank two close shots in a row—a 1-footer on a cut and pass from Eubanks, and a 1-footer off a pass from Shasta Vlasak on an inbounds play—in less than a minute. Brooklynn Nordquist made a layup off of a Bear Cubs' turnover with 2:31 left. The Bear Cubs scored three more points on Eubanks' drive and one free throw by Shasta Vlasak with 39 seconds remaining. Jessie Slade's field goal with 26 seconds to go resulted in a final score of 59-41.

Defense was the key to the Bear Cubs' victory. Their tough man-to-man pressure prevented the Wolverines from getting good looks at the basket. The Wolverines entered the contest averaging 70.8 points per game but only made 16 out of 69 shots (23.2%). The Bear Cubs were successful on 42.9% of their shot attempts (21 out of 49). Even though the Wolverines outscored the Bear Cubs by eight points in the second half, holding them to just eight points the entire first half helped ensure the win. Only Jessie Slade, who scored 10 points, reached double figures for the Wolverines.

Jordan Washington registered her 15th double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Elle Picard added 7 points, Shasta Vlasak and Kaia Eubanks 5 each, Abby Tacla 4, Hattie Piper and Caitlin Baldwin 3 each, Sydney Martin, Hailey Webb, and Madyson Carson 2 each. Kaia Eubanks and Sydney Martin each pulled down 8 rebounds. Kaia Eubanks led in assists with 5.
