Tyler Denize enters his 18th season with the Bear Cubs for both the men’s and women’s teams. He has been on the coaching staff for 10 of SRJC's State and Conference Championship winning seasons as well. He is also currently a USA Swimming club coach for the Santa Rosa Neptunes. Denize was also coached for SRJC’s water polo programs for 14 years.
He began his coaching career with Woodlands Recreational Swim Team in the east bay, serving as their head coach for three years. Denize also coached four years at the high school level for both Northgate and Piner. He was SRJC’s assistant men’s water polo coach 2005-2007. Denize attended Northgate High School in Walnut Creek, where he participated in varsity aquatics. After graduating he attended Diablo Valley College where he was an All American water polo player and swimmer. Denize resides in Santa Rosa and enjoys spending time with his wife Ashley and their daughters Ansley and Avery. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
