The Cubs finished the season strong with stand out performances from brothers Kai and Phoenix Holt.
Kai focused on the distance freestyle events as well as sprint butterfly. He finished 3rd at conference and 8th overall at the state meet in the mile (16:39.72) and had strong performances in the 500 Free (4:50.23), 200 Free, and 100 Fly as well. He was named to the Big 8 All Conference First Team and is both an All American and Academic All American.
Phoenix swam the 400 IM and the breaststroke events this season. He finished 3rd in conference and 9th at state the IM (4:12.10) and was a state qualifier in the 200 Breast as well. He was named to the Big 8 All Conference First Team and is both an All American and Academic All American as well.
Other top team performances came from team captain, Sebastian King Gile who hit three personal records in all of his main events 50, 100, and 200 Free; freshman Nicolas Kwan getting a PR in his 100 Breast; Garrett Woody posting best times in his 100, 200, and 500 Frees; and freshman Ben Binder hitting a PR in his 100 Free.
