Coach Neidlinger 2025 ABCA/ATEC Regional Coach of the Year

Santa Rosa Junior College is thrilled to announce that Head Baseball Coach Damon Neidlinger has been named the 2025 ABCA/ATEC Pacific Association Div. Regional Coaches of the Year, one of the highest honors in amateur baseball. The award is presented annually by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)—the nation's leading organization for amateur baseball, representing more than 13,000 coaches across all levels.

Now entering his 23rd season at the helm of the Bear Cubs and 31 years overall at SRJC, Neidlinger has cultivated a program built on competitive excellence, integrity, and a culture of accountability.

The 2025 season was historic for the Bear Cubs, as the team posted a remarkable 38–1 regular-season record, claimed the No. 1 ranking in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA), and earned a top-10 national ranking from Perfect Game. SRJC led the state in team fielding percentage (.982) and ranked among the lowest in earned run average (2.42)—a testament to the team's precision, preparation, and elite coaching.

Neidlinger previously led SRJC to state championships in 2005 and 2016, and now adds the ABCA/ATEC Pacific Association Div. Regional Coaches of the Year distinction to an already decorated career. The award recognizes coaches across 11 divisions who exemplify exceptional leadership, team performance, sportsmanship, and overall contributions to the game.

This recognition underscores what SRJC and the baseball community have long known—Coach Damon Neidlinger is among the very best in the game.
