Santa Rosa, CA — Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) is thrilled to announce the official launch of its Beach Volleyball Program, set to debut in Spring 2026. This exciting expansion marks a major milestone for collegiate athletics in Sonoma County and elevates SRJC's athletic offerings to a total of 19 competitive teams.
"Launching beach volleyball is a game-changing moment for our program," said Ally Sather, Head Coach of SRJC Volleyball. "This expansion creates more opportunities for student-athletes, deepens our commitment to competitive excellence, and strengthens our ties with the broader community."
The new program will begin training off campus, with plans underway to construct on-campus beach volleyball courts at SRJC's Santa Rosa campus in the near future. Upon launch, the Bear Cubs will compete in the Big 8 Conference and the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) beginning Spring 2026.
The development of SRJC Beach Volleyball reflects the college's ongoing investment in student success, equity in sports, and regional athletic excellence. SRJC Athletics extends sincere thanks to campus leadership for their unwavering support and vision in making this program a reality.
With strong community roots and a tradition of excellence, SRJC is poised to build a vibrant and competitive beach volleyball program that reflects the passion, resilience, and talent of its student-athletes.
