Women's Water Polo closed their final home game of the season with a big win over Coast Conference's College of San Mateo last Friday. The Cubs kept it close but were down 2-3 at the end of the fist quarter, and the game remained close, tied 5-5 at halftime. Again SRJC got one goal behind in the 3rd with a score of 7-8, but it was the Cubs flurry of offense, 3 unanswered goals and stellar team defense that won them the game with a final score of 10-8 over the Bulldogs.
Game highlights included: Sophomore co-captian, Riley West's 4 goals, 1 ejection drawn and 1 field block; Freshman co-captian Jada Andrews 2 goals and 5 assits; Sophomore Maddie West's 2 goals, 1 assit, 3 steals, and 1 ejection drawn; Sophomore Stella Clarkson's 2 steals, 1 goal, and 1 assit; sophomore Stanislava Holzhauser's 1 goal, 1 assit, and 1 ejection drawn, and sophomore Rose Williams 2 steals.
