On Tuesday, the Bear Cubs (9-7, 2-4) hosted the Diablo Valley College Vikings (2-15, 0-6) in a midweek Big 8 Conference matchup. Jordan Baughn was on the mound for the Bear Cubs, retiring three batters via the strikeout in the opening frame. Santa Rosa's offense got going early as Haley Wyatt crushed a two-run home run over the left field fence, giving the Bear Cubs a 2-0. Baughn continued her strong performance on the mound, and DVC's pitcher was able to limit the damage. Heading into the fourth inning, Santa Rosa led 2-0. With runners on the corners and two outs in the bottom of the fourth, Esperanza Marquez scored on a double steal. The Next batter for Santa Rosa, Mallory O'Keefe hit an RBI triple into the right-center field gap, scoring Olivia Gabriel from second base, extending the lead to 4-0. The Bear Cubs added another run in the fifth inning from a sacrifice fly by Sofia Uricoechea, making the score 5-0. Jessica Hernandez relieved Baughn after a stellar pitching performance in the sixth inning. The Vikings scored a run in the top of the sixth, but the Bear Cubs answered back with a run from a bases-loaded walk by Hailey Martin. DVC scored once more in the seventh, but Hernandez finished the job, securing a 6-2 victory for Santa Rosa. 

The Bear Cubs improved to (10-7, 3-4). Jordan Baughn was the standout performer, throwing five scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Haley Wyatt (1-2, HR, 2 RBI, 1 BB) and Mallory O'Keefe (1-1, 1 RBI, 2 BB) were the key contributors on the offensive end.
