Haley Titone got busy on the basepaths on Friday, knocking six hits in Bear Cub's 29-7 victory over Solano. Titone tripled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the second, singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and doubled in the fifth.
SRJC collected 25 hits and Solano had ten in the high-scoring affair. They got on the board in the first inning, scoring two runs when Titone tripled.Solano evened things up at three in the bottom of the first inning. Kanadi Akin drove in one when Akin singled.
Bear Cubs pulled away for good with 14 runs in the second inning. In the second Titone doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs, Olivia Gabriel singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs, Emma Weiand singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Anna Zoia-Buescher drew a walk, scoring one run, Cayla Nixon drew a walk, scoring one run, Titone singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, Sullivan Henry singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, and Carmen Haugen singled on a 2-0 count, scoring three runs.
SRJC racked up 25 hits on the day. Titone, Henry, Gabriel, Kaleigh Weiand, Nixon, and Kese Mcquillen all had multiple hits for Santa Rosa Junior College Bear Cubs . Titone went 6-for-6 at the plate to lead the team in hits.
Solano racked up ten hits. Gracie Alves and Katie Poole each collected multiple hits for Solano. Mandy O'Keefe got the victory for the Bear Cubs, with Carmen Haughen coming in and pitching 3 innings. The Bear Cubs play tomorrow at College of San Mateo.
