Freshmen Speed Supports Returners Depth

SRJC Men's Swim & Dive have opened the first part of their season with a variety of strong performances. The team is led by sophomore captains Dante Martinez and Teophil Labus who have both finished in the top three this season in the sprints and breaststroke events respectively. Sophomore Juan Madrigal has also shown significant improvement in the 100 and 200 Fly events as well, winning the 200 Fly at the Allan Hancock dual and the 50 Fly at the CCSF Invite.

Our sophomore leaders have been joined by freshmen stand outs Greyson McCaw and Andrew Morris. McCaw has won several individual events early this season including: 200 Back and the 500 Free at the Allan Hancock Dual and the 500 Free at the Los Rios Invite. Morris has also posted some of top 10 times in the state by winning the following: the 400 IM and 100 Free at the Hancock dual, the 50 Breast at the CCSF Invite, and the 200 Back at the Los Rios Invite.

The Bear Cubs are prepping for their mid-season peak meet this week at the Cuesta College Invite in San Luis Obispo, March 10-11.
