Bear Cubs Qualify 8 to the 3C2A State Championships
The Bear Cubs traveled to Modesto on 12/2 to compete at the 3C2A NorCal Regional where they qualified 8 to next weekend's state championship. Qualifiers include Jake Butler (141), David Sypnicki (149), Zac Morgan (157), Robin Oxlaj (165), William Westbrock (174), Jesus Anguiano (174), as well as notable performances from Frank Pomilia (197) finishing in 4th place & Rayhan Jaleel (197) finishing in 2nd place. Jaleel's only loss was to state #1 Ethan Birch of Sac City. Currently, Jaleel is ranked #2 in the state with a record of 24-3 with his only 3 losses coming to Birch. The Bear Cubs travel to Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo for the 3C2A Championships on Dec 8 & 9.
