The Bear Cubs faced Delta College at their home pool Wednesday September 28th. Delta came out strong and took the lead early in the first period, hitting the back of the Bear Cub net with five goals, with scores from Brittany Smith, Courtney Myers, and Katelyn Traut. The second period turned into a strong battle as the Bear Cubs got on a roll and made a quick comeback pounding the Delta cage with five goals from Annika Erickson in the third period. Bear Cub goalie Shannon Whetzel, came up big in the cage with 14 saves, and with phenomenal defensive performances by Bear Cubs Julia Kennedy, Caroline Frost, and Bianca Boyajian held Delta as they wouldn't score again until the end of the second period. The third period would bring three goals from Bear Cub Maggie Selzer, and one goal from Delta's Brittany Smith. The Bear Cubs fought hard and battled until the last whistle blew. In the fourth period they narrowed the score with one more goal from Annika Erickson and two from Julie Kennedy, making the final score 15-11 in Delta's favor.

The Bear Cubs will face Sierra at home on October 12th!
