The SRJC volleyball team is looking forward to the start of their 2019 season, this Friday as they host the Foothill Owls at 1pm.
Key returners for the Bear Cubs include Violet Johnson, the starting Libero from last season. In 2018, Johnson averaged 6.1 digs per set, along with 41 Aces on the season. Ingrid Jungferman, starting setter for the 2018 season, is also returning. Jungferman averaged 4.48 assists per set, along with 1.84 kills per set. To round out the sophomore returners, middle blocker Logan Peck is returning after averaging 1.69 kills per set.
New additions to the roster include freshman outside hitters Destiny Clark and Elena Dyer, both standouts for Windsor High School in their senior season.
Following the Foothill match, the Bear Cubs will head down to Stockton for the Delta Classic on September 6th and 7th, where they will open up against Hartnell College.
