Volleyball:  SRJC's Dig Pink Night for Breast Cancer Awareness Will Be This Friday 10/24 at 6:30pm.

SRJC defeated Modesto Junior College Wednesday night (25-23, 28-26, 21-25, 25-11) to wrap up the first half of conference play. The Bear Cubs showed much growth in skill and mental toughness throughout the match, and even came back from a 20-24 deficit to win the second set 28-26. Freshman, outside-hitter, Angelica Chesley had a solid night with 18 kills and 2 blocks, followed by outside-hitter Paula Clarey with 13 kills, and right-side hitter Tori Garzoli with 10 kills. Freshman setter Emily Bonfigli effectively led her team with 48 assists, 3 kills, and 8 digs. Sophomore captains and defensive specialists, Rebecca Steiner and Bryce Gevas also protected the back row with a combined 30 digs.

SRJC kicks off the second half of conference play at home on Friday, October 24th at 6:30pm against Sac City College. It is their Dig Pink Night for breast cancer awareness where baked goods will be sold to help raise money for the Side-Out Foundation. Donations are accepted in place of the regular admission fee.
