Women's Track & Field: Blackwell and Deuga Lead the Cubs at the Beaver Relays

It was a big week for the SRJC Track and Field Team.  On Friday, the Multi-Event athletes finished their second day of competition.  Leading the successful week was Adam Gockel, who met the Decathlon-B State "A" Standard with 6,549 points and Alyssa Stewart, who posted enough Heptathlon-B Nor Cal Qualifying points at 3,564.  Jaimie Flores ended the meet with 2,986 points.

Top performances on Saturday at the American River Beaver Relays began with Sheena Blackwell and Mickie Seuga.  Blackwell's early-morning 100-meter hurdle performance was impressive at 15.48 seconds. Equally impressive was Blackwell's 400-hurdle time at 64.21 seconds. Mickie Seuga had an impressive early-morning Shot put (11.92m) and Hammer (35.96m) throws and finished in the afternoon with a Discus throw at 35.96 meters.

Top performances on the men's side came from Sam Richter with an 800-meter run at 2:00.71 and Isaiah Roybal's Sub-11 finish of 10.89 in the 100-meter dash.
