Women's Track: Grimm and Ruiz Bring Home Medals From the 2015 State Championship Meet

SRJC had an amazing season capped with an outstanding showing at the 2015 CCCAA State Championship Meet last weekend. The SRJC men finished 18th overall and had a number of SRJC top 10 performances.  The SRJC women finished 16th overall with only brought 2 athletes Julia Grimm and Erica Ruiz.

Grimm finished 4th in the High Jump with a jump of 5'3.25", 3rd in the Javelin with a throw of 131'3", and 4th in the Heptathlon with a school record of 4214.  On top of Grimm's three medals, she was also awarded All American in each of these events as well. 

Ruiz finished 8th in the 1500m with a time of 4:45.16. This completes her run of 5 consecutive 1500m PRs (dropping 18 total seconds). Her time of 4:45.16 puts her 6th all-time at SRJC.
