Women's soccer makes a statement opening weekend

The 2017 Bear Cub Women's Soccer season started with two games in Santa Cruz this past weekend. The first game was a scrimmage against UC Santa Cruz on August 25th. The Bear Cubs came out strong and dominated play on Banana Slug territory. 

The second game was the official season opener against Cabrillo College on August 26th. The Bear Cubs generated a relentless offensive effort winning the game 7-0. Goals came from Pricilla Villalobos, Lexi Martinez, Jacky Scharff, Jillian Van Riper, Stephanie Fernandez, and Kaleigh Alves would add two goals for the Bear Cubs. 

The Bear Cubs will travel to San Francisco City College on Wednesday August 30th to continue preseason play this week.
