In the Bear Cubs opening game for the 2020 season. Lily Castro was brilliant in the circle on Saturday, as she threw a no-hitter to lead Bear CUbspast Cabrillo College 10-0. Janea Mason led the Bear Cubs to victory by driving in six runs. She went 2-for-3 at the plate. Mason drove in runs on a home run in the first and a home run in the fourth.  Bear Cubs got things started in the first inning when Mason homered on a 3-1 count, scoring three runs. Castro was the winning pitcher for SRJC. She went five innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out six. The Bear Cubs launched three home runs on the day. Sullivan Henry had a long ball in the first inning. Mason had a homer in the first and fourth innings. SRJC tallied nine hits. Mason and Halle Uhl each racked up multiple hits for the Bear Cubs  Santa Rosa JC was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Henry had the most chances in the field with six.
