The Bear Cubs traveled to Woodward Park for the Fresno Invite to preview the State Meet Course last weekend. The top teams in the state traveled to Fresno, bringing with them a lot of quality. The Bear Cubs finished 10th overall as a team, the 5th fastest team from the north. Cristain Nazarek (pictured) was a stand-out, finishing 4th overall with a time of 20:51 for the four mile course. He was the second fastest runner from the north behind Hartnell's Diego Leon (20:30) who finished first. Other standouts were Logan Stanley, who had a strong second half of the race to finishing second on the team, and Danny Mondragon, who is quickly bridging the gap between our fourth and fifth runners, also had a strong race to finish with a time of 23:59. The Bear Cubs look forward to next week where they will preview the Big 8 Conference course at Granite Regional Park in Sacramento, CA.
