The Men's Cross Country Team traveled up north to the College of the Redwoods for the Second Annual Beat the Heat Invitational last weekend in Eureka.  A great team bonding experience, the team camped on campus the night before among the redwoods.  The day of the race, the men fared well and won for the second year in a row.  Cristain Nazerak led the pack of Bear Cubs through the first mile before breaking off and leaving the entire field behind.  Nazerak cruised to the win, the second cross country meet win of his college career.  Three more packs of Bear Cubs finished shortly after with Jon Ahnberg, Joseph Ruiz, and Logan Stanley grouped well and then Daniel Mondragon, Jonathan Lopez, and Gideon Halpin finishing the top seven.  Nathan Bailey and Andrew Langwell rounded out the Bear Cubs who scored a mere 30 points with Butte Road Runners in second place with 48 points and DeAnza with 53.
