Men's Water Polo Overview

2013 Season Highlights

  • 6th Place in Big 8 Conference

The 2013 Men's Water Polo Team finished with a record of 2-27, for a 6th place finish in the Big 8 Conference. The team was extremely young and inexperienced, had 11 out of 12 players being freshman, and only five of the 12 having played any water polo in high school. One of those freshman, Isaac Maximov was voted to All Conference Second Team by the other coaches.

2014 Season Preview

In his 7th season as head coach, Tyler Denize is looking for a strong bounce back to a difficult 2013 season. He has five freshman returning from last year, including Second Team All Big 8 player, Isaac Maximov. He is also excited about his recruiting class, which should be one of his best he has had at SRJC. Some of the athletes to watch include goalie Kyle Kehoe (Pacifica), Ryan Roland (San Rafael) Reggie Luiz (San Rafael), and Jesse Kaplanis (Sir Francis Drake).
