Cumming Wins Silver & Bronze in Breast events at State Finals

Aidan Cumming's stellar individual and relay performance lead the Bear Cubs to a top 20 finish at the 2022 CCCAA State Swimming & Diving Championships, May 5-7, at East LA College in Monterey Park. 

Cumming opened his indiviudal state performance with a 2nd place finish in the 100 Breast (56.63) just behind Golden West's Filipovic (56.08), and touching out De Anza's Moraes (56.63) and Diablo Valley's Welsh (57.16). He followed up on the final day of competition with another PR in the 200 Breast (2:03.21), finishing 3rd overall. Cumming also represented the Cubs as a member on our men's medley relays as well.  Cummings times rank him 2nd overall in SRJC history just behind record holders John Bing (100 Breast - 55.64 - 2014) and Bradley John Erickson (200 Breast - 2:02.51 - 2017).

  • 200 FRR: Liput, Erikson, Martinez, Madrigal, 15th Place
  • 400 MR: Madrigal, Cumming, Martinez, Erikson 15th Place
  • 200 MR:  Madrigal, Cumming, Martinez, Liput, 12th Place
