The SRJC men finished just three points short of a top 10 finish at the CCCAA State Swimming Championships. The Cubs were led by freshman, Mark Sidorenko who advanced to finals in all three of his individual events including the 50 Free, 100 Fly, and 100 Free. SRJC also had three top 8 relay finishes in the 200 Medley, 800 Free, and 400 Free. Other stand-out, individual performances came from Julian Schiano-Dicola who finished 12th in the 200 Free with a PR time of 1:44.25, and from Jack McCormick who finished 14th overall in the 100 Butterfly with a lifetime best of 52.56. Chadwick Leung also played a large role in the overall team efforts swimming legs in all five of the teams relays. The Cubs look forward to an exciting 2019 season after their strong freshman performance at this year's state meet.
Sidorenko finished was a seven-time All American and Academic All American with times ranking in the top 16 in the CCCAA and nationally with all two-year colleges in all three of his individual events as well as the four relays he swam on:
