After their top 5 state finish last season, the Cubs reload their roster and look to develop potential in 2018.  They opened their season hosting the annual NorCal Relays invitational meet swimming against some of the top teams in the state.

Although the young SRJC team wasn't able to win an event at the meet, they were the runner-up taking second in six events including the 200 Free, 800 Free, 1500 Free, 300 Fly, 200 Medley, and the 400 IM relays.  The highlight swim for the Cubs came towards the end of the meet from the team of Jack McCormick (23.20), Julian Schiano-Dicola (22.96), Kyle Bonzell (23.66) and Mark Sidorenko (20.97) in the 200 Free Relay. Their consistent performance overall finished in a tie for second with Las Positas in the final team standings.

The Bear Cubs will travel and compete in a double-dual meet against Las Positas and Sierra Colleges in Rocklin, on Friday, February 9th, at 12pm.
