Men's Swimming: Schmidt and Williams post top marks at Sprint Meet

In one of their final regular season meets this year, the Bear Cubs had an impressive showing at the ARC Sprint Pentathlon meet in Sacramento.

Two SRJC swimmers qualified two participate in the 50 Free Shoot-Out competition including: Jesse Schmidt and R.J. Williams.  Schmidt finished 5th and Williams went 3 for 4 in his head-to-head battles, finishing only one tenth short of the title in the final round.  Williams did however post four season-best times in the 50 during the competition going:  21.21, 21.28, 21.31, ad 21.22.

In the pentathlon competition, which required swimmers to compete in five events including the 50 Free, 200IM, 100 Fly, 100 Back, and the 100 Breast; Schmidt was crowned the overall men's champion finishing 1st in the IM and breast events, 5th in the free and fly, and 2nd in the back.
