Bear Cubs defeated DVC, 71-68 in opening league night. SRJC Men's basketball was down by 8 at the half and down 17 points in the second half at one point; but with a huge play from Markus Gilbert on a put back slam dunk, the Bear Cubs went on a run to close the gap and take the lead with 4 minutes left in the game. Skylar Chavez led the Bear Cubs in scoring with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Markus Gilbert also had a great game with 14 points and the moment dunk of the year for the Bear Cubs.
