On Saturday night at Bailey Field the Bear Cubs defeated #10 ranked Delta College of Stockton 55-23. After spotting Delta College 14 points the Bear Cubs ROARED back with 54 points in the 2nd & 3rd quarters to put it away. Once again the Defense was stellar, posting 6 take-aways. The Bear Cub Defense has had 9 INT's and three fumbles in the last two weeks, and have scored twice this season. On Saturday night the Offense joined the party and exploded with a much improved performance by the offensive line and huge plays from Kerr Johnson Jr, Ja'Narrick James, Albert Beltran, Malcolm Jenkins, and Darryl DeFlorimonte.
The next two weeks the Bear Cubs are on the road. 9-25 Sacramento City College, and again on 10-1 against Sierra College of Rocklin. The last three years in a row the Bear Cubs have beaten Sacramento City College by 1 point come-backs. The Panthers will be fired up and ready to go.
