Last week, before leaving for Butte College, the SRJC football team was out and about giving back to the community. The defensive linemen and Coach Martin Tevaseu surprised a second grade class with activities, reading, and even a little dancing. It was a day to remember that even included football shaped rice crispy treats made by Coach Tevaseu himself.
Other Bear Cubs gave back this summer as well, coaching and refereeing flag football players of all ages, ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade.
Come see SRJC (1-1) in action this Saturday against Sacramento City College (1-1). Tickets go on sale at 4:00pm and kick-off is at 5:00pm. This week's game is International Student Night and will include a presentation at half time.
We will also be accepting money donations for the Valley Fire Relief Funds as well.
