2016 Bear Cub state champion, Jake Scheiner was called up to the Seattle Mariners. Scheiner was playing for the Arkansas Driller, Mariners double affiliate, where he posted a .791 OPS, 12 HR, and team leading 63 RBI. Scheiner prepped at Maria Carrillo HS and played at SRJC in 2015-16. Jake was Co MVP of State Championship along with fellow Bear Cub Noah Rennard. Scheiner earned a scholarship to University of Houston and was a 4th round draft pick in the 2017 MLB draft. Scheiner is the the 5th Bear Cub to play in the Major this year! Congrats Jake!
