Bear Cub Baseball currently ranked no. 2 in the Big 8

Last week, Bear Cub Baseball dropped their series to Delta College 2 games to 1. SRJC falls to a 26-7 overall record and 16-5 in Big 8 Conference play, which puts them in 2nd place in the Big 8.

Game 1 in Stockton went to Delta with a final score of 10-2. Sophomore Trevor Mallett went 2 for 4.

Game 2 at Cook Sypher field was a 5-3 Bear Cub victory. Freshman Ryan Calderon, sophomore Jared Noonan, and sophomore Justin Bruihl combined to pitch a gem of a game. Trevor Mallet had the big hit of the game with a 3rd inning 3-run home run to left field.

Game 3 on Friday was a tight back and forth game in Stockton. The Bear Cubs lost it in the bottom of the 9th with the score tied, after a triple, the bases became loaded, and a walk ended the game. Ryder Kuhns had 2 hits and sophomore Josh Lenney had 2 doubles. The Bear Cubs host Modesto College on Saturday April 22nd, with a 1pm first pitch for the last home game of the regular season.
