KNIGHTS FALL TO SANTA ROSA, MARIN

REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's women's basketball team lost both of its games last week, falling 58-35 at Santa Rosa Junior College and losing 69-60 at home to Marin.

Santa Rosa 58, Shasta 35
The Knights trailed 31-15 at halftime and couldn't catch up to the Bear Cubs. Shasta shot 21 percent from the floor (12 of 56), including 5 of 25 from 3-point range in the loss. Isabela Padilla led the Knights with nine points and six rebounds, Amber Wallace scored nine points and Kaleia Mizua scored eight points to go with six rebounds.

Marin 69, Shasta 60
The Knights led by four at half but Marin outscored Shasta 40-27 in the second half to pull away. Marin shot 51 percent from the floor and 11 of 22 from 3-point range and Shasta turned in a season-best 47 percent field goal percentage and a season-high nine 3-pointers. Mizuta and Padilla each scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Wallace scored 14 points, Trinity Fernandez scored 10 points and Jeanna Bucher had a team-high five assists.

Shasta (4-4) takes Thanksgiving week off and hosts Hartnell on Nov. 29.
