The City College of San Francisco football team defeated the Santa Rosa Junior College Bear Cubs 54-7 last Saturday at CCSF.

The Rams (2-0 Natl. Bay 6/5-2 overall) are riding a five-game winning streak and are tied for first place in the conference with the College of San Mateo Bulldogs.

The game, which was originally scheduled as an away game for the Rams, was moved to CCSF due to the devastation of the North Bay fires. In a moment of solidarity, the Rams met the Bear Cubs at midfield to show their support to their fellow competitors and the surrounding communities affected by the fires. CCSF Chancellor Dr. Mark Rocha also gave a pre-game speech in honor of the Santa Rosa Junior College community.

After the heartfelt moment between the two teams, the Rams got on the scoreboard quickly against the Bear Cubs (0-1 Natl. Bay 6/0-6 overall). Freshman running back Isaiah Floyd opened the scoring with a 35-yard touchdown run to put the Rams up 7-0 with 13:32 left in the first quarter. Floyd totaled 162 rushing yards on 13 attempts with three rushing touchdowns.

After the initial score, the Rams continued to add to their lead with outstanding offensive performances from multiple players. Sophomore quarterback Zach Masoli threw for two touchdowns and 217 yards on 10-of-15 passes. Sophomore wideouts Kevin Fox Jr. and Leroy Elliot added one touchdown reception each. Fox Jr. also rushed for 51 yards and one rushing touchdown.

The defense also put together another outstanding showing, holding Santa Rosa to just 89 yards of total offense. They also sacked the quarterback five times, recovered three fumbles, and intercepted two passes. Leading the way for the Rams's defense was sophomore linebacker Dallas Martin and freshman defensive back Terin Adams. Martin finished the game with a team-leading three tackles, one sack, and two tackles for losses. Adams compiled two tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one interception.

This Saturday the first place position in the conference will be on the line. The Rams host San Mateo (2-0 Natl. Bay 6/6-1 overall) at 1 p.m.
