No. 2 Roadrunners Come Up Short against Santa Rosa

San Francisco, Calif. - Despite a game-high 23 points from freshman Sarah Tait, the No. 2 Butte women's basketball team came up short in the Rams Classic opener to Santa Rosa, 82-64, on Thursday evening.

Tait shot 8-for-11 from the field, including 50 percent beyond the arc, while sophomore Meghan Weinrich added 17 and freshman Jordan Arreola chipping in 12.

Weinrich tallied six boards, four assists, and three steals, while Arreola chalked up five boards and three assists. Sophomore Cassidy King dished out a game-high seven assists.

Butte (13-2) looks to rebound as it faces East LA on Friday, Dec. 16 at 3 p.m.
