Both Folsom and Santa Rosa came into the game ranked top-twenty in the state of California to start conference play in the Big 8. Both teams had a very successful preseason and looked to start off conference on the right foot.
The Falcons got hit hard early and could never recover, losing 67-38. The Bear Cubs defense was the main reason why, holding FLC to 27.5% shooting from the field, well below the Falcons' average. That, combined with solid and consistent offense, Santa Rosa led the entire way.
Daily Applegarth led the Falcons with 9 points, and Corrie Harrison had a solid day on the boards with 8.
Folsom Lake (10-3, 0-1) looks to bounce back as they head to #10 San Joaquin Delta College (6-5, 0-0) on Thursday 12/22 before the holiday break.
Go Falcons!
