TEX WASABI'S STUDENT-ATHLETES OF THE MONTH

Women's Sports:  Katie Williams, Volleyball
Katie Williams is a sophomore, six-rotation, middle-blocker, and team captain for SRJC Volleyball. She is a consistent player for the Bear Cubs and has earned the respect and position of being a target for opponents. Her hitting percentage, tough serving, solid serve-receive, and drive to get things done is what makes her a great leader and example for her teammates. Williams is currently ranked in the top five in the Big 8 Conference for kills, kills per set, and blocks. She works just as diligently in the classroom as on the court and does not let circumstances phase her, but rather uses them to fuel her fire.

Men's Sports:  Christopher Tose, Cross Country
Christopher Tose is a stand-out freshman runner for SRJC. He took 3rd in the Big 8 Preview in September with a 21:31.5 in the 4 mile run. Then later that month, Tose placed first overall at the Sonoma State Invite with a time of 27:23.0 in the 8K run. He helped the Bear Cub men’s team win in the team standings at that meet.
