Bear Cub catcher, Ryan Haug, dominated this week. On Tuesday, freshman Haug, went 2-4 with a stolen base and a hit-by-pitch in a 4-0 shut-out against Contra Costa College. Topping his performance, Haug also played a key role in the win over Solano College on Thursday, scoring two of the Bear Cubs' seven runs. He reached base on 5 out if his 5 plate appearances, going 2-2 with 3 walks. In the three-run 3rd inning, Haug led off with a single, stole second base, and then scored on a base hit. In the final game of the week, a 2-1 loss at Solano College Saturday, Haug went 2-4 and scored SRJC's only run of the game in the 7th inning. On the week, Haug went 6-10, 3 BB, 1 HBP, 2 SB, 3 R, and reached base 10 of his 14 plate appearances.
